INTRODUCTION

The THEORY: The theory the Moon’s Nodes maintains that we do not come into this life without past life influences or ancestral influences or things that happened during our gestation period. In other words we are not tabula rasa or clean slate. The Moon’s Nodes tell us that at birth we have a lazy part of us that has done the same thing for life times and this time our soul lights up a sign that says, “New Lesson this time.”

Each set of Moon’s Nodes suggest specific qualities: the South Node suggests our overdeveloped character traits that are comfortable for us, but that may undermine our lives if we hold on to these traits for security; while the North Node suggests the qualities that we need to develop in order to find inner balance. The North Node and South Node points are directly opposite each other. They are not planetary bodies; rather, they are points that take into account the relationship between the Sun, Moon, and Earth at the time of our birth.

South Node personality issues are places of fear and insecurity. We want what is represented by the South Node position, whether that is selfishness and over concern with survival ( Aries South Node/1st house North Node); the need for others to accept I am always right (South Node Gemini/ 3rd house South Node) ; insistence of getting one’s way and the need for approval (South Node Leo/5th house south Node); order in our lives (South Node in Virgo/6th house) or satisfaction in partnerships (South Node in Libra/7th house) ; or family and emotional security Cancer/4th house) or comfort and accumulation of possessions (South Node Taurus/ 2nd house) or victim consciousness and compassionate understanding from others (Pisces/12th house) . However, the only way we can feel successful in these areas is through working on the qualities of the opposite sign (North Node position). We may resist doing this wholeheartedly until we mature because we cannot see that letting go of some of our obsessions, will bring satisfaction to the South Node areas. Thus, the North Node represents a place of challenge, endless self-awareness and growth.

Some astrologers say the Moon’s Nodes are one of our points of personal karmic imbalance. If we over-emphasize and fall back on the qualities of our South Node, at the expense of developing our North Node, we may have a difficult time feeling personally successful. But even if we don’t consciously work on these lessons, events in our lives are likely to force us to confront them. In my experience, people often begin to confront and work on their North Node lessons in their thirties, whether or not they are aware of the issues through Astrology. Before this stage of our lives, we may be somewhat blind to our South Node tendencies. The best source about the Moon’s Nodes I find is Jan Spiller’s Astrology for the Soul.

VIRGO & 6TH HOUSE NORTH NODE AND PISCES & 12TH HOUSE SOUTH NODE

The North Node in the Sixth House indicates that your life’s destiny is to refine your personality and perfect yourself as a human being. You are also called upon to become more humble and subordinate, taking on the task of serving others. Virgo and the 6th house North Node also means focussing on our body, maintenance of everything (our house, the car, our body); all details, all processes; the mundane, all fixing; keeping everything running smoothly including our health. So this North Node is a position of service and work. The Virgo North Node or 6th house North Node’s quicksand or Achilles Heel is being a victim and expecting endless compassion from others. The unfolding of your destiny or life lessons may occur in the work place, through service to others, by experiencing illness or by coming in contact with some self-improvement method. People with this position must avoid looking for a mentor or guru in whom they can trust blinding. They need to learn organisational skills and good time management.
Basically the attitudes they must develop are
• Finding out what is our self-sabotaging mechanism and stopping it
• Happily doing the housework
• Participating in life
• Bringing order to chaos
• Creating a routine
• Focussing on the present
• Noticing and valuing details
• Taking risks in spite of their fears
• Being moderate
• Gaining self-confidence through experience
• Analysing and categorising at work
• Being of service
• Acting on feelings of compassion
• Being assertive, confrontationist and competing
• Being discriminating
• Having self-confidence
• Being worldly and having common sense
• Being moderate
• Taking action
• Being structured
• Having self-respect
• Having clear structured sub goals and larger goals
• An orderly environment
• Being self-sufficient
• Having a good diet
• Being punctual
• Making lists
• Paying bills
• Having exercise

12th house and Pisces South Node Tendencies to leave behind
• Dissolving your ego through music, poetry, fantasy, spiritual quests
• Past life fears
• Anxiety and worry
• Feeling drained
• Giving up
• Dramas
• Vagueness, not committing and inaction
• Withdrawing
• Self-doubt
• Being a victim, not a victor
• Being confused and disoriented
• Escaping through drugs, alcohol, daydreaming, sleeping and addictions
• Being oversensitive
• Being extreme
• Avoiding planning
You have chosen a lifetime of service to others. This indicates developing any talents you have, paying attention to detail and becoming an expert in some area. Though focusing is not natural to you, the more you do it, the more you will like it. You would make a fine accountant, editor, analyst, or hairdresser. However in the end you could be a road sweeper because the spiritual task of the north node in 6th house is to learn about the world around you, figure out how you can contribute to it, and work, work, work.

The emphasis this lifetime is on addressing mental and physical health issues. You may spend some significant portion of your life in a hospital, prison, monastery, university, in government institutions such as schools teaching or otherwise “institutionalized.” The routine and order of such a place can help you build faith and heal. However, you choose to ground yourself, it’s important that you do so.

Because of your sensitive nature, you will find many of the things you are asked to do in life unpleasant. Resist the tendency to feel sorry for yourself. It’s important the carrier of the north node in 6th house go about your daily routine with a smile. Complete the tasks at hand, though they tax your abilities or seem unfairly distributed to you. At your worst, you hide behind paranoid fantasies, letting others work while you wallow in self-pity. In this lifetime, completing even the most unpleasant tasks brings a sense of accomplishment and great self-confidence.
Essentially it does not matter what work you do. Don’t worry that your work is not good enough, that the outcome of your endeavours is not ideal, or that you are unloved, or that people let you down, because this life is a tough life, messy, imperfect, and sometimes disappointing. It is can be wonderful and will not be improved by being a victim, a worry-wort or an anxious person. Build your mental and physical strength, maintain a positive attitude, and contribute where you can. You will find a deep well of faith growing inside you.

With your south node in the 12th house or Pisces you are full of spiritual knowledge, having passed many lifetimes and even your childhood, in imaginary worlds, solitary play and contemplation, prayer and meditation. But this really isn’t good for you and you will not be supported as escaping reality or losing yourself in imaginary worlds, will undermine your self-confidence and exaggerate your nerviness.

Because of past experiences you, having the north node in 6th house placement, find organization challenging and have trouble with time management. This may make work difficult, however if you are wise you will stay away from self-pity to a path of responsibility and self-discipline. You may find this daunting at times but the discipline will build your confidence and soothe your soul. Apply restrictions to your thoughts and diet, to keep grounded.

Traditionally this placement indicates good physical health, and taking care of your body is especially important. The fields of psychology, dietician, medicine, natural healing, nutrition, pharmacy or nursing are good for you as you are a natural channel for healing power. Good luck with small animals is also indicated in the north node in 6th house nodal placement.

INTRODUCTION: THE BARE BONES OF TRANSITING PLUTO AND URANUS.

TRANSITING PLUTO

At the moment transiting Pluto is conjuncting points, angles or planets or luminaries in Capricorn. It will be also opposing any astrological placements in Cancer and squaring placements in Aries or Libra. So Right now if you have astrological placements at 8, 9 or 10 Capricorn, Cancer, Libra or Aries you will be affected. Pluto is remorseless in action. It is an outer planet and therefore unconscious so it will reveal areas that you may not even be aware of. You can’t avoid squares, oppositions or conjunctions with transiting Pluto and transiting Uranus at this time, as Uranus is at 9 degrees of Aries. So people with any planet, point, luminary or angle need to look very carefully at their creative, verbal, spiritual and physical behaviour. Uranus moves into Taurus in 2018, finally giving relief to people with planets in cardinal signs, but Pluto doesn’t move into Aquarius until 2024; however both Uranus and Pluto bring much needed transformation to the planet and to individuals with these configurations.

The Pluto transit last three years (with the retrograde action) and when the orb is exact, a person might feel as if hell has broken loose in their lives. How Pluto’s energy plays out has to do with the house it’s transiting in and any aspects it has with both natal and other transiting planets. Most women born in the 1930s, 1940s, 1950s and 1960s had to hide certain emotions, such as rage, because rage was not seen to be ladylike. We were expected to be nice, and take care of other people’s needs, while swallowing our own needs. This inevitably leads to weight problems and women who inevitably resemble Medea, Circe, Eris, Medusa, Pele, Ereshigal or an outraged Kali. If rage comes careering out of us our friends desert us and even therapists judge and lecture. In the old days the men in white coats appear. With Pluto lurking around in the subconscious this rage now comes up for healing and clearing. Denying it’s there won’t help.

Practicing gentleness with ourselves and self-love are crucial ingredients to surviving a Pluto transit. Eating healthy foods and practising mindfulness, and finding a life coach or therapist to work with (who understands astrology) can relieve the tension and fear that surface. Take flower essences will help and doing yoga, meditation or Tai Chi class. Eliminate all unhealthy foods; give up alcohol, sugar and caffeine so your colon and bowel ruled by Pluto release efficiently. If you have an addiction, de-tax and get professional help. Don’t go through these transits alone. It’s crucial that you find support, especially when you experience losses.

When a person is experiencing a challenging Pluto transit (square, opposition, conjunction), it’s time to clean house (the subconscious). But don’t make the mistake of holding on to these old hurts and go over them like a groove in a record. Don’t re-dramatize your situation (Scorpio loves drama), but don’t deny your issues or your shadows now.

Men going through a Pluto transit also have to deal with stuffing their emotions, mainly grief and sometimes inner rage that is tearing them apart. This could lead to escapism, violent behaviour (to hide his vulnerability), or cold detachment (such as the bachelor who uses women, but feels nothing for them). Remember, Pluto and Scorpio has a tendency or a weakness of appearing like an icy cold unfeeling reptilian.
So Pluto unblocks, unlocks, releases, transforms and transmutes patterns, beliefs, emotions, and all that old garbage we cling to. But Pluto transits are painful, full of loss and like a long and drawn out initiation. In shamanic astrology we could see Plutonic spirit guides as bats, vultures, hyenas, panthers, jaguars where we as the initiates are taken into a dark cave filled with bats or we have to face Hyena, Panther, Jaguar or Vulture. These creatures will pick the meat off a body until one bone are left and we too need to look at our core or bare bones at this time, not all our conditioning and programming and brainwashing from our culture, family, partners and friends. You will find your authentic self through a Pluto transit. You reclaim your power and like Persephone you rise back up the earth as a changed magical being. In fact, as you go through the Pluto transits read and re-read the Persephone myth and the Inana and Ereshigal myths, while focusing on the arrival of spring.

URANUS TRANSITS

Uranus takes around 84 years to do a cycle around the Sun, so some people at age 84 will have a Uranus return. Uranian transits are long-lasting, and each transit through a particular house takes its time to unfold. On average, Uranus transits a house for approximately 7 years. Uranus brings change, disruption, and erratic elements to the areas of life ruled by the house it transits or the sign it transits.

How Uranus affects our lives depends on whether we resist its influences or try to work with this planet of sudden change, independence, liberation, and enlightenment. Saturn slows down our inner clock so we may face reality, but Uranus speeds us up so we can take risks and make changes. Whichever part of our lives and of our psyches that Uranus touches is an area where we begin to feel restless and dissatisfied. Our consciousness regarding these parts of ourselves and our lives is accelerated to the point that people who know us might consider our actions and reactions impulsive or rebellious. If we are not careful we might act in inconsiderate, foolish and brusque ways. Transiting Uranus acts to disrupt, change, and re-do whatever it touches. Uranus makes us think outside the box and offers us opportunities for seeing whether the grass really is greener on the other side. While Saturn slows us down, Uranus speeds up our lives, offering us chances to take some risks and to experiment with totally new ways of living and interacting with others and our environment. Uranus is forward-looking and does not have patience with lifestyles or attitudes that are attached to the past or the traditional. Transiting Uranus shakes us up and offers us a chance to become more aware of our individuality. Uranus doesn’t like stagnation or restriction. Uranus likes freedom. Transiting Uranus acts to awaken and to make us aware of our feelings of being restricted and constricted. Uranus surprises, jolts, and stimulates. How the person handles this transit depends on the nature of the person. Individuals with heavy water or earth influences would have a more difficult time with a transit like this, as security, stability, and co-dependency are what they usually seek.

THE CARDINAL NODES

The philosophy of the Nodes of the Moon implies that we are not tabula rasa or clean slate. The Moon’s Nodes suggest that when we are born we have under-evolved and overdeveloped aspects of our personality.

CANCER SOUTH NODE (CAPRICORN NORTH NODE)

With North Node in Capricorn or the 10th house that we need to develop
1. Self-control
2. A maturity in our attitudes
3. Self-respect
4. Goal orientation
5. Common sense ways of problem solving
6. Self-care
7. A way of letting go of the past
8. Commitments to keep promises
With Pluto and Uranus transiting we also need to let go of
1. Spending too much time alone
2. Emotional overreactions
3. Dependency
4. Moodiness
5. Insecurity leading to sabotaging inaction
6. Lack of self-respect and confidence
7. Avoidance of risks

South Node in Cancer means one is terrified of leaving family and emotional security. There is often denial of their co-dependent patterns so they find reasons to stay dependent on the family in adulthood: any family will do: friends; neighbours. Cancer South Node people want a happy family so they recreate one. They also sometimes attach to unsatisfactory groups as a replay of the family unit. South Node Cancers sometimes let their emotions and insecurities dominate to a detrimental degree. When insecure, they run to others for comfort and relief, and then feel inadequate for being needy. Often the SN Cancer will deny completely that there was a problem with the mother. Some, on the other hand, are acutely aware of her pain, and as much as they try to soothe her, she is inconsolable. One of the hardest habits to break is the one that injects intimacy in what are supposed to be professional relationships. Sometimes too many personal details are revealed and the desire to be close and comforted interferes with the pure business at hand. The urge for the SNs in Cancer to stay safe and protected from what they perceive as a hostile world filled with hurt, not knowing, of course, their innate skills at controlling and surmounting difficulties when maturity is maintained. The joy of discovering their capabilities is worth it all. The Cancer South Node knowledge of nurturing growth will drive them to put everything into helping others achieve their goals to the neglect of their own. People with south Node in Cancer know they must leave their family because family become vampires: if they become successful and evolve in their career inevitably Mum or one of the family calls to say “we need you”. The strings attached to this perpetual family game of snakes and ladders are emotional and controlling co-dependent behaviours: manipulative name calling, guilt, playing on their gullibility, humiliation, shame, ostracism. You can read about these tribal ploys for power in Jean Auel’s Clan of the Cave Bear series Sometimes the Cancer South Nodes reach the top of the mountain, and then tumble down, having to start again. They have been programmed by the family; that they are worthless and must be the family Cinderella so they often fail because of inner self-sabotage. Thus, the dependent child is meant to be transformed into the capable adult and it is mostly transiting Pluto or Uranus aspecting the South Node that will do this. Mature people who have those inner voices under control can control their own emotions, and can take charge of situations in a completely effective way.

Those with the South Node in Cancer are taking their age old knowledge of feeling and familial connection to the larger world, where they can influence society with their emotional experience and human understanding. If South Node Cancer people are aware of these traits transiting Pluto and Uranus can bring them to emotional maturity and help their career to fruition.

SOUTH NODE CAPRICORN

With a North Node in Cancer and South Node in Cancer Pluto and Uranus transiting will help these attitudes develop:
1. Noticing and validating feelings
2. Validating empathy
3. Nurturing and supporting other people
4. Staying centered in one’s feelings
5. Accepting other’s moods without judgement
6. Developing humility
7. Honest disclosure of feelings and insecurity
8. Building a foundation and security
9. Risking vulnerability

Pluto and Uranus transiting a South Node in Capricorn or North node in Cancer will aid leaving these behaviours behind:
1. A need to control people and events
2. A belief everything must be difficult
3. A compulsion to take charge without understanding the situation
4. Looking at the goal, but not the process
5. Hiding fears and feelings in an intimate relationship
6. Taking care of other’s feelings, but neglecting one’s own.
7. Doing things to gain respect from people
8. Being insensitive
9. Being too serious
10. Not listening to suggestions from other people

PLUTO AND URANUS TRANSITS WILL CHANGE ARIES SOUTH NODE AND LIBRA NORTH NODE

This is very much a nodal axis along with the South Node Libra of the heart chakra and root chakra. Attitudes to develop for the Aries South Node person:
1. Cooperation
2. Diplomacy and tact
3. Being aware of other people’s needs
4. Selflessly giving without expecting something back
5. Creating win/win situations
6. Sharing
7. Seeing things through the eyes of another; walking a mile in someone else’s shoes
8. Communicating about their own identity

And this is where Pluto and Uranus transits are important with their purging and awakening behaviours; tendencies to leave behind for the Aries South Node Person:
1. Impulsiveness
2. Thoughtless self-assertion
3. Resistance to compromise
4. Indifference to how one is seen by others
5. Expecting everyone to be like you
6. Lack of good judgement regarding money
7. Selfishness
8. Lack of other people’s need for support
9. Outbursts of anger
10. Over concern with survival

Now LIBRA SOUTH NODE and ARIES NORTH NODE

So again the Pluto and Uranus transit will aid through remorseless change and transmutation these attitudes to develop:
1. Independence
2. Self-awareness
3. Trusting one’s own impulses
4. Moderation in giving
5. Self-nurturance
6. Courage
7. And tendencies to eliminate:
8. Being Mr or Ms or Dr Nice guy
9. Tit for tat mentality
10. Co-dependency’
11. Need for external harmony
12. Obsessive attachment to fairness and justice
13. Debilitating selflessness

CONCLUSION

The lunar nodes are among the most powerful influences in the natal chart. They are the unseen cosmic forces that shape our destinies, spotlighting our karmic potential and illuminating the true meaning behind our very existence. I hope this ads an iota to your knowledge about what the nodes reveal about your life path and how the Pluto and Uranus transits could awaken and transform you.
And that’s it from me today. With a little extra caution and planning, most Uranus transits can become positive experiences and Pluto sure makes you aware of all your old unconscious “stuff.” The big deal is that South Node behaviour is unconscious. I look back at my South Node behaviour and say “OMG. Erk!!!!!!” We are all human, but the outer planets sure give us a good swift kick to awaken our need to “get real” and move into our North Node behaviour.

Good luck with your phoenix and I hope you have a wonderful day.

ArchangelSamael-2 (Small)

INTRODUCTION

Samael is described as the most beautiful of the angels, yet he is also known as the angel of death Like Metatron he is seen as having twelve wings.

He is linked to the planet Mars which is said to be the planet of war and conflict. By association he must be linked to Mar’s (Ares) vile sister who is also an archetype of discord and bloodshed in wars and conflicts of all kinds, whereas Hades or Pluto is the straight out , there you have it archetype of death.

In Tarot Samael is linked to the Tower. Samael is said to have ruled human evolution from 1190 to 1510 AD when the Crusades, those horrible times of bloodshed that were driven by the Catholic Church. Thus the era of the archangel Gabriel and the subsequent era of Archangel Michael.

AN ARCHANGEL OF GREAT POWOR

Divine Angel Healing suggests” I would not advise anyone to call on the Angel of Death because it could cause madness. I will not give any mantra for the Angel of Death at this time. The best action someone can do is live a righteous life and if the Angel of Death comes to you, he will be gentle with the taking of your soul. People are baffled by the idea of how can so many lives be taken by the Angel of Death. This is due to the fact that he is from light and does not exist within the limited 3rd dimensional matrix. When dealing with the topic of angels, we must know that they function on the highest spiritual and scientific levels beyond our imagination. Angels are that which astrophysicist have not fathomed. Just as your physical body’s image can be duplicated by many mirrors, the angels of high ranking can be in innumerable locations at the same time. Also the archangels have servitors that work with them too. Prophets, saints and adepts have the ability also to be in multiple locations at the same time. These beings have tapped into their angelic DNA which enables them to do various feats not common to humans of the 3rd dimensional matrix.”

MY EXPERIENCES WITH SAMAEL

And I agree. Sometimes when we have Mars very strong in our chart we may impulsively blunder into things: events, places without thinking of the consequences and with Samael you had better think about the old maxim that “fools rush in where angels fear to tread.” I knew my Grandfather until I was nine years old when he passed away prematurely. I have seen photographs of him before he went to war. He was so happy and so handsome. He was one of the first men to sign up to fight in Australia in World War One. He went to Gallipolli, one of the biggest bloodbaths in history as a private and emerged a captain. Why because he had to take over because most of his mates and men around him were blown to pieces around him. His best friend was Peter in that war. Peter never came home. Everything on our property was called Peter, even my father. I never saw my Grandad laugh. Like most men who went to war he came home to live a life in isolation where he felt safe. My Grandad has Mars conjunct Eris in a significant place in his chart. He was not a violent man. He was a brilliant organiser and after Gallipoli he became a commander of baggage trains for all the men in the battalions. More was achieved this way than fighting. He was reserved and kind. He was wise and he could be fun and he taught me more than anyone I know because he also had a strong Chiron. So think about the consequences if you have strong or strong Mars or Eris. You do not know what may occur. This is Samael’s bitter poison. I often go to thin places and I have found that now fifty years on his soul path in the spirit world is to collect the pieces of men and women who have been blown apart in wars and bring them back to “heaven” and assist with their recovery.

I have seen the archengels only at sacred places like Glastonbury, Mount Saint Michael at Penzance in in the UK, Saint Paul’s cathedral and a cathedral in Australia. These places are significant crossings of very powerful leylines and they were spontaneous sightings. I did not call on these angels or call the Mother Mary. In my experience the archangels did not see me, whereas Mother Mary did.
Although if we are desperate Samael will appear to help us see clearly where our false values lie or old false beliefs lie and how we need to address them.

THE ASTROLOGY OF SAMAEL

One can see this is linked to an area in astrology where your planets Saturn, the planet of fear and Pluto the planet of phobias lie. At time like Pluto or Saturn transitting our Moon or ascendant or descendant especially deep anxieties may rise to the surface from the past or even from ancestors. These can be overwhelming and we may have to seek help from a psychotherapist, shaman or other therapist. A chigong specialist may help as this area can be calmed by breathing processes.

Samael also has to do with loss during war or when you feel you cannot express love. At this time you may have no choice but to walk away from the old.

Gnostic Instructor on his Archangel Samael article suggests: “ When we acquire real knowledge, for example, just hearing about this teaching, it can taste bitter, it can taste intense, it can shock us. That knowledge is the essence of this angel, Samael. It is “a bitter beverage” to the ego, it is “poison” to the ego, but it is the “potion” or “perfume of God” that illuminates the soul. Thus when we encounter gnosis or Daath (Hebrew for knowledge) we enter into a great conflict, psychologically. I am talking about real knowledge, the esoteric knowledge, not just beliefs. This is another view of the two sides of Chiron as wounder and knowledge holder. Those of you who have Chiron conjunct Sun, Moon or Ascendant or go through a Chiron return will know what I am saying here. Chiron is no “keeping up with the Jone’s planet or archetype. One walks a lonely path just as Enoch and Elijah did. It is a bitter poison to find sometimes that we can no longer live a life we have been living and that we must change and change abruptly or a choice is death. Just as people the Jews of Germany faced. You leave all your all ways of life and chattels behind or die. Sometimes it can be that real.

Gnostic instructor suggests that because Mars or Ares (and I include Eris) is seen as our ego then when we experience profound knowledge, especially things that illuminate our shadow and things we did not want to hear we receive your own knowledge from that experience and we often are traumatises and feel a catharsis. Thus we feel a great shock to the depth of our soul and many seek to escape through Neptunian pursuits because a Samael experience is intense and a poison to the ego. Samael terrifies the ego, because that angel Samael is the angel of death to the ego.

CONCLUSION

Thus Samael is a messenger from God and his name carries death and temptation as powers of God. Thus we can build a new foundation to build the foundations of a new life when we really face ourselves after a major Saturn or Pluto transit.

This is not a jolly article, but one that encourages you to find truth as you search your soul.
I wrote this article for those who sacrificed their lives in wars. Some came home some didn’t. For those who didn’t the toll on their loved ones was horrendous. For those who did they may have lived with post-Traumatic stress for the rest of their lives.

I wish evolution for your soul:

Saturn is the King of the Golden Age. Saturn is stability. In alchemy he is the base metal ready for alchemy to begin. In love when we combine him with Venus, the planet and goddess of love, he is death do us part; permanence. So I see one vision of our heart chakra as Venus-Saturn. Venus conjunct Saturn is steady, true, lasting love, beyond the desert island, beyond the passion of the honeymoon. Let us do a soothing heart chakra meditation before we continue.

A MEDIATATION FOR THE HEART CHAKRA

• I sit quietly and close my eyes in my favourite spot to meditate. It is the same time I meditate every day.
• As I close my eyes I am immediately in nature, in a glorious old forest, green and mossy, serene and comforting. The birds sing quietly as I wander quietly along.
• I see a set of ancient stone stairs. They are wide and recently cleaned. They are safe and inviting.
• I take seven very deep long, cleansing depths right down below my belly in preparation to descend the stairs.
• I walk down them slowly counting as I descend: ten; nine; eight, seven, six, five; four; three, two, one.
• At the base is a wide landing and an old wooden door.
• Look the door has my name engraved. I put my hand on my name and the door opens.
• The giant cave I see is warm and inviting, filled with the beautiful rugs and colours I love.
• This cave is my heart, my heart where God, Mother Mary, Jesus and my favourite archangels dwell deep within me.
• I rest quietly knowing that this Divine connection is always with me.
• I am loved, guided and protected at all times.
• I can leave my ego at the door of this cave and let my consciousness enter knowing I am totally safe.
• As I step inside I see the diamond of myself brilliantly lighting up inside my heart. As I peer into the depths of my cave I see a small grove that contains small and large crystals. As I look closer I see pink rose quartz, green peridot and sparkling diamonds. I pick up one of each and place them in the Light of my heart.
• That diamond represents my Inner Light, my eternal self, the heart of God within me.
• The God within me is beyond time, beyond circumstance and beyond form.
• As I honour this Divine love and step outside my ego I am connected to this place within.
• I can access it at any time.
• Here is all the love, Light and goodness I need.
• I can expand that Light within me by knowing I am Divine.
• When I leave my temple of serene inner love I seal my heart chakra with a cross within a circle of light.
• This seals and protects my inner heart space and allows me to use my Divine love for healing.
• I close the door to my heart chakra case and walk slowly up my stairs: one; two, three; four; five; more slowly; four; three; slowly and gently, two and finally one I arrive back in the forest.
• I take all the time I need to come back to my waking reality.
• I look at myself in the mirror knowing that I am the love I feel
• I take my loving gentleness; my peace and serenity and inner strength; my confidence and love for all I encounter back into the world, knowing I can do this loving mediation whenever I need peace, love, confidence and gentleness.

THE ASTROLOGICAL HEART CHAKRA

The fourth chakra is the heart chakra. In astrology it has a relationship to Venus and Saturn and a relationship to our Sun which is the basis of our spirit or what Traditional Chinese Masters call the Shen. Let’s have a look at it.
The base chakra is associated with the element of earth, the sacral chakra with water, and the solar plexus chakra with air and the heart chakra with fire.
So the base chakra is linked with our physical selves, the sacral chakra with our emotions, passions and desires, the solar plexus chakra with thought and intellect and the heart chakra with love.
There are many debates on the relationship of the heart chakra to the planets. Some say the Sun rules the heart chakra. The Sun is at the centre of our solar system and is the source of our physical lives and all physical life on Earth. The Sun rules your ego, self-esteem, human spirit, determination, vitality and the genuine self but it also rules the heart chakra and unconditional love. The Sun represents Christ Consciousness and represents the very essence of our purpose on Earth, to learn absolute love and compassion of the heart. The unconditional love of Christ and our elevated and enlightened Teachers and Masters in spirit is like the light and heat of the Sun in that we cannot bear to even look upon it, let alone dwell upon it. The Sun and our heart chakras rule our ability to shine as people.
This is probably the highest vibration of the heart chakra, but for other human beings who seek to love on a human scale I see Venus- Saturn as the manifestation of the heart chakra or the seventh house. Venus; love on an earthly level combined with the staying power of Saturn is love everlasting. This may seem dull; but Saturn represents our earthly incarnation. This love is stable, trusting, grounded love rather than lust (Venus-Mars) or extreme passion (Venus-Mars) and infatuation (Venus-Mars.)
Venus-Saturn steps in when I have learned about relating through solid communication rather than just sex. I have discovered I have rights within my relationship (seventh house- air) and I know at this stage I am so serene that I extend this agape love to others and I can share with others. In fact my cup runneth over and I am cornucopia (the horn of the old goat goddess Amalthea.) Here the heart chakra as Venus Saturn becomes Aphrodite as an incarnation of Rhea; the Great Earth Mother. Thus at this alchemical level the seventh house person; Venus (Aphrodite)-Saturn (Cronos) is not needy or co-dependent.
If I am needy I am the dysfunctional second chakra; a vampire. I want your energy. At this level I will do anything for love. Love becomes prostitution.
At the level of heart chakra I represent the King and Queen as the alchemical marriage. At the heart chakra level, both parties are mature. They have a mystical sublime relationship based on trust. They never blame or manipulate and their relationship lasts.
Thus when you marry you must be beyond the (Venus-Mars) second chakra believe in needy love. You must know yourself and love yourself. You must be your own Sun. You must have completed your own hero’s journey and not reflect someone else’s light. At this stage (Venus-Saturn) you love yourself, see your own inner divinity and are a structured, grounded person.
Thus you can have a structured (Saturn) relationship (Venus) rooted in reality.

ALL MY LOVE RESIDES WITHIN MY HEART
I am quiet and listen to my heart’s song.
I chose to be united with all creatures, even the winds and oceans and gentle breezes, in love.
I anchor my heart in truth, love, Mother Mary and God’s grace.
I choose the peace that surpasses all understanding.
I am love,
I am peace.
My core is pure and innocent.
I delight in sharing my joy.

FEAR VERSUS LOVE.
When you feel fear, you can’t feel love. And when you feel love, you can’t feel fear.
You can always choose love. You can always choose the energy of heart chakra color.
When I am experiencing fear, I focus on opening my heart and visualizing green energy coming to my heart centre. Once the energy begins to flow, the fear dissolves.

WHAT IS THE HEART CHAKRA?

Chakra base (Small)

Your chakras are energy vortices or spinning wheels of energy within your body.
The chakras are numbered from the bottom up. The first chakra, or base chakra, is red in colour, and is located at the base of the spine. It is concerned with your survival.
The second chakra is orange in colour, and is located next to the spleen. It is concerned with your emotions and pleasure.
The third chakra is yellow in colour, and is located behind your solar plexus. It is concerned with decisions, will, power, and creative expression.
The fourth chakra is green in colour, and is located in your heart. It is concerned with love and the connection between the physical and spiritual selves. It is the midpoint of consciousness.
The fifth chakra is blue in colour, and is located at your throat. It is concerned with psychic hearing.
The sixth chakra is violet in colour, and is located in your brow and is associated with your pineal gland. It is sometimes called your “third eye.”
The seventh chakra is white in colour, and is located at the crown of your head and is associated with your pituitary gland. It is concerned with the consciousness of spiritual awakening, enlightenment, and wisdom.
A LOVELY MEDIATION TO BEGIN
Visualise a scene in the country where you are surrounded by beauty. Breathe deeply into your heart chakra seven times. Concentrate on your breathing and let the cares and worries of the day flow out of your mind like water in a stream. Let your worries or anxiety goes into the gentle stream so that the water of life can absorb and transmute it.
Continue to breathe into your heart chakra. Breathe deeply and exhale completely. Feel the life-giving air invigorating and rejuvenating your heart chakra. Feel the life and spirit in your heart chakra. Become one with the air you breathe and the act of breathing. Become one with your heart chakra. Feel your heart; the pink and pale green colours.
Visualise a green crescent moon that goes across your upper chest from shoulder blade to shoulder blade. Expand this and intensify the colour. This is your heart protector.
See Mother Mary in your heart chakra smiling. Her love radiates into every part of you. This precious energy fills your entire being with love. Feel the peace, joy, unity and sense of connectedness with all on earth.
When you are thoroughly one with your heart chakra, breathe into your third and your fifth chakras, your solar plexus and your throat. Feel the expansion of energy the area into which you are breathing, but remain aware of your heart chakra at the centre. Know that each breath is energising and rejuvenating every part of your body between your solar plexus and your throat.
When you are totally at one with your body between your solar plexus and your throat, breathe into both your second and sixth chakras, your spleen and your brow. Feel the expansion of the area into which you are breathing, but stay aware of your heart chakra at the centre. Know that each breath is energising and rejuvenating every part of your body between your spleen and your brow. Feel the life and spirit in your body between your spleen and your brow. Become one with your body between your spleen and your brow.
When you are thoroughly one with your body between your spleen and your brow, breathe into both your first and seventh chakras, the base of your spine and the crown of your head. Feel the expansion of the area into which you are breathing, but remain aware of your heart chakra at the centre. Know that each breath is energising and rejuvenating every part of your body between the base of your spine and the crown of your head. Become one with your body between the base of your spine and the crown of your head.
When you are one with your body between the base of your spine and the crown of your head, breathe into the ground directly beneath you and the air directly above you. Feel the expansion of the area into which you are breathing, but remain aware of your heart chakra at the centre. Know that each breath is connecting your heart chakra with the ground directly beneath you and the air directly above you. Feel the life and spirit in everything between the ground directly beneath you and the air directly above you. Become one with everything between the ground directly beneath you and the air directly above you.
When you are thoroughly one with the ground directly beneath you and the air directly above you, breathe deeper into the ground and higher into the air. HEART CHAKRA PROBLEMS
If our heart chakra is blocked we may have an immune system problem or physical heart problems, or a lack of compassion. Characteristics of a blocked heart chakra include fear of rejection, feeling unworthy of love or loving too much. If there is blockage in the heart chakra, you may feel unworthy of love and sceptical of anyone who wants to love you, or your love relationships may be completely co-dependent. This may have happened because you have been scapegoated, blamed, shamed, or been in a position where others are authoritarian (your Moon’s Node may conjunct their Saturn). A blocked heart may be a result of volatile or dangerous situations where you end up with a fear of punishment or enmeshment. You may have had to be responsible for others at two early an age or have inherited shame from parent. If this chakra is imbalanced in some way it means that somewhere along the line, there has been a disruption in your attitude and understanding of love. You may want to give your love with the hopes of gaining control of a person or situation and thus confusing love with manipulation, or you may be giving your love in the hopes of gaining recognition to boost damaged self-esteem. You may consequently be a possessive and mistrustful person who lacks much compassion or doesn’t get treated with compassion. If the heart chakra is completely blocked, this tends to manifest itself in the antithesis of what the heart represents: you are literally heart-less and quite icy in how you receive yourself and others. If you are not open to love in your life, it is not possible to feel very happy and joyful about life or yourself and, people with blocked heart chakras most certainly do not.
INCORRECT HEART ENERGY FLOW
SOME ( NOT ALL) of these characteristics are characteristic of a blocked heart chakra that has excess energy: Deceit, dominating, manipulative, stubbornness, power hungry, have to have the last word, have temper tantrums or violent outbursts or be overly aggressive or competitive or be conditional in your love. A blocked heart chakra may show as a possessive nature, an attraction to sedatives, as
arrogant and hyperactive, be controlling or need to be right, use money or sex to control, have
driving ambition.
If your heart chakra has deficient energy you may be cold, paranoid, indecisive, have low energy,
poor digestion; you can’t reach out, have a victim mentality, be self-conscious and have low self-esteem. You may have a blaming of others mentality and be terrified of rejection, fearful, have a
weak- will, be melancholy, have a guilt mentality and be easily manipulated, feel sorry for yourself, be passive and unreliable, have an attraction to stimulants, need constant reassurance, be afraid of letting go, feel unworthy of love, feel lonely and isolated and or have poor self-discipline.
THE IMBALANCES caused by an unbalanced heart chakra may be :
Anxiety, asthma, sadness, lung problems, lung cancer, depression, heart or breast problems,
blood pressure problems, thymus problems, vasxcular vascular problems, respiratory problems
upper back problems, circulation problems, fatigue, insomnia, diabetes or pancreas, negativity, hypoglycaemia, muscle spasms, chronic fatigue, muscular disorders, digestive disorders, gall bladder and liver problems, disorders of stomach, feelings of alienation; self-destructive tendencies and an inability to bond with another.
Sheesh. What a list!
THE HEART CHAKRA IS LOVE.
Green – the heart chakra colour is composed of yellow and blue in equal parts. Green is a colour of love. It is at the very centre of your being.
Green is the energy of love and transformation. It allows you to transform your ego and the needs of your lower chakras and open up to love.
It is at the heart centre where the energies of lower chakras (once the needs are fulfilled and satisfied) can be transformed and integrated into a more spiritual aspect of yourself.
This is where you reach beyond yourself and connect with something greater, wider, and deeper.
Green is the colour of growth, life, and balance. Through balance you find this centre from which you can love, form healthy and nourishing relationships, and give and receive love.
The energy of green is soothing and calming, like a blanket of soft grass underneath your feet. It is the colour of nature, grass, and the trees.
As you unfold the petals of your heart chakra, you find the seat of compassion, not only for others, but for yourself as well. You begin to radiate love. You begin to sense the interconnectedness of all of life.
Much joy to you today from Hilary.

Mother Mary

I dedicate this article to my delightful friends Jill and Dennis who are both a breath of fresh air.

INTRODUCTION

Yesterday I wrote an article on my experiences of seeing and listening to Mother Mary. In it I mentioned the visions of Mother Mary people had experienced at Lourdes and Fatima. I was lucky enough to receive a really fortuitous reply from an amazing lady who had actually been to Lourdes and Fatima. She wrote to me saying: “I too Love the Blessed Mother Mary ! I came to love her when I visited Lourdes and Fatima and saw the many miracles displayed. The stories of the children, the etheric feel in the air.”
These words meant a great deal to me, but it was not until I took a long walk to the nearby creek where the etheric energy is strong and clear that it dawned on me how important Jill’s words were.

WHAT IS ETHERIC ENERGY?

Etheric energy refers to a type of very fine matter or substance that is all around us, and which permeates all physical matter. It is the same as that which is called chi, qi, vital force, prana or life force energy and other names in various languages. It is a wave-and-particle type of energy, in terms of modern physics. This energy activates and gives life to all beings and even all physical matter in the physical world. It must be present or life ceases. It gives us vitality and zing. It cannot usually be seen, but its effects include the life forms on the planet, and everything else in our physical universe. If the etheric “driver” in our galaxy were to dissipate , which happens every few trillion years, the entire physical universe, even the planets and stars, cease to exist.
Etheric energy is present in all bodies. However, in order to increase it a lot, one must develop the soul more than the body. By this I mean that the soul must begin to take over and control the body, not the other way around. In immature people, the body urges, desires, propensities and aversions largely control the person. However, in order to increase the etheric energy a lot, one must develop the soul. This means develop or listen to the “high self” or God within, or Mother Mary, Jesus, the holy spirit, and the archangels and this will slowly increase the etheric energy that flows through a person.
One of the most important implications is that one cannot just focus on nutrients or chemistry to heal the human body. One can and must also focus on preserving and enhancing etheric energy in our bodies, as well.

WE CAN CONSERVE ETHERIC ENERGY BY :

• Reducing stress. Nutritional balancing focuses on this facet, among others, in terms of one’s nutrition and lifestyle.
• More rest. To really conserve and restore the etheric, most people today need 10 or more hours of solid sleep every single night. Do not skip your afternoon naps on the weekends, and go to bed early. Going to bed by 9 PM seems to reduce the need for sleep to some degree, though people still need loads of rest.
• Stay warm enough. Another way to conserve the etheric one is born with is to stay warm at all times. This is a problem for women, I have found, more than men. The women, in an effort to look fashionable, often wear no socks, and walk around in short sleeves, no sleeves, or even with bare shoulders when they should be far more covered up just to stay warm. It is possible to dress nicely and stay warm.
• Deep breathing of pure air, preferably enriched with oxygen. This is most helpful for everyone. It is one reason that athletics helps some people as well. It is also why living in a rural area with a higher oxygen content to the air is preferable.
• Increasing the flow of intrinsic energy. This can also be done by the same methods as those listed above. The silver cord can become compressed, and chiropractic, can be helpful in some situations. Reducing muscle tension in the body is another way to keep the energy flowing well. Avoiding toxins is a third way, along with proper nutrition.

WHY MOTHER MARY , JESUS AND THE ARCHANGELS ARE SO IMPORTANT TO OUR ETHERIC ENERGY

Over time or by allowing spiritually unclean energy in your house negative etheric slime builds up and can coat everything. It will deplete your energy. If you have been traumatised a lot your etheric energy may have been slimed. I realised today that I had been in places; very spiritually unsafe places with spiritually unsafe people and that not only stripped my outer body of chi or life force, but that my bodily organs were slimed and not functioning properly. I was touchy, over-tired, ill and over-sensitive. Some people had sent me an email that contained such impure information that when I read it ants began crawling through my house and ants are a sure sign that you have toxic energy or etheric slime. Ants always will come to clean toxic etheric slime. Ants can also indicate lower astral nasties or foul spirits.

HOW DID I FIX THIS?

I called on Mother Mary of course. And Jesus and Achangel Michael, my old pal. I know them personally. They are God’s right hand beings. They are a manifestation of God and the Holy Spirit. They are the highest spiritual beings with us and they love us so very much.

Toning is a great way of raising the etheric energy . What is toning? It is using different sounds to heal the air around you. It will raise the frequency and spiritual vibration of a place so people are no longer depressed or angry. It is a great way to clean.
The best tone or sound I find is the name Jeeeeesus. The “eeeee” sound is the sound of the throat chakra . This is why the holy chants in churches are so uplifting. Just by singing loudly “Thankyou Jeeeeeeeesus” over and over again you lift the life force of a room or place. Use the same tone to call Mother Mary and Archangel Michael. Sing it. Sing it with all your heart; with love; with reverence.
You can use this in every room of your house with a bell, incense, a candle and holy water which you have blessed by calling on Jesus and Mother Mary.
Once you do this in every room you will feel much better; happier, clear and loving.
Some people use Aum. The sound is “o” as in the name Tom and it must be drawn out as long as possible.
A bell is good too.

You can use tones for every chakra or energy centre. The “oooo” sound as in zoo is the sound od the sacral chakra. This one is good for emotional cleansing and spleen, abdomen and kidneys. Hold your hands over this area when you chant Thankyou Jesus to help soothe your emotions.

The “eeee” Jesus sound is for your ears, sinus; to balance your yin and yang. It also seals a spiritual centre in the back of your neck.

In another article I will talk about all the sounds.
Chakra base (Small)

CONCLUSION

You can also do this in your car and at work if you get there early or people might think you are a bit crazy. Plants also clean up the vibrations of a place, but calling on Mother Mary and Jesus is instant. Call loudly, with great fervour. Close your eyes and see them. Your hands will begin to tingle once you call for Jeeeesus a few times. This is healing energy.
I hope this article has helped you. I wish you a really wonderful day, full of joy.

Mother Mary

INTRODUCTION
Think of a world where there was no judgement, prejudice, competition and bullying; just heartfelt compassion. Mother Mary is a divine being who is the embodiment of heart-felt; heart-based compassion. My articles usually involve little of my personal touch, but I’d like to tell you my story of how real Mother Mary is to me and who she is the basis of my trust in a world that is good.

MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCES WITH MOTHER MARY

In 1995 I had an opportunity to visit Glastonbury, a holy place in southern England where one of the most significant monasteries in Britain lay. Dowser, engineer and mystic Hamish Millar and his friend Paul Broadbent dowsed the Tor at Glastonbury and found that two significant earth lines met there. The remains of the Abbey of the old monastery also lie at the foot of the Tor. It was here that I saw a vision of Mother Mary and significantly she spoke to me for at least an hour. I had no history of visions, but this beautiful caring lady in pink robes spoke of a new life I would enter where compassion would play a giant part.

She told me I would be teaching very poor people and would be living like them. Certainly this came true and for many years I taught in social conditions that spoke of heart wrenching poverty and total lack of any power over their own lives. I had always been a caring person and was very soft hearted, but I learned how poverty stricken people lived by being a person who lived such a life. For me compassion is really walking a mile in someone’s shoes. It doesn’t mean teaching in a school where you teach children from poor households and going home to a home with thick carpets and rich food. It means teaching in appalling conditions and living a life where you are hungry often. It is very hard. Well it was very hard until I stopped thinking about my old life where I was rich and when I compared my life to my old life.
Going to bed and saying prayers of gratefulness that you do have a roof over your head; a warm bed and some food; even if it is just some eggs and green vegetables that you have grown and some occasional fish, is not just a humbling experience, but one that is rewarding. It is the way Jesus’s mother would have lived in Jerusalem.

When I was little my mother would kneel with my sister and brother and I at the side of my bed every night and we would say prayers. I did the same when my daughter was born. A spiritual life can seem very shallow unless you actually know the divine beings you pray to and I can say that twice at Glastonbury I have seen Mother Mary at Glastonbury and various cathederals around the world. At home when I pray for healing for people I see her when I am a channel for healings for people who need her compassion. I have also felt her presence in isolated forests; thin places that have rarely been visited by mankind. Springs, creek beds and river beds in these sanctuaries are places where I would sense her presence for she comes in many forms. Even hardened forest workers who found themselves in the thin place where I sensed “the Lady of the Forest” told me how good they felt there and how extraordinary the trees were there and how they didn’t want to leave there because of the peace and tranquillity. I smiled because that is exactly how the presence of in her many forms Mother Mary does feel.

Her presence brings love , even to the most hardened heart; peace even to substance abusers. Around her even meanies become nice.

OTHER MARY’S APPEARANCES TO THE WORLD.

Mother Mary from what I can see is the archetype of love who can be seen right throughout civilisation in many forms such as Isis, Kwan Yin, Mary, the pieta, Cancer, the many forms of the Moon Goddess, Sophia, Demeter, even the Fairy Godmother.

The Divine Mother of the universe has assumed the form of Mother Mary or the Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus Christ. As such, the Divine Mother makes her presence known to her Christian children. She instructs them in the way of the divine feminine and her aspects of compassion, mercy, forgiveness and unconditional love. It is not really known, nor does it matter, if Mary the wife of Joseph was born as an incarnation of the Great Goddess in her form as the divine mother. What is certain is the universal Divine Mother now uses this form to communicate with Her children who are predisposed to the Christian path. The Divine Mother can and does assume any form she likes to communicate with Her children in various cultures and for various times. The universal Divine Mother has appeared as Mother Mary numerous times just as she appears as Kuan Yin for many Buddhists.

In Lourdes France the Divine Mother appeared in eighteen apparitions in 1858 to Bernadette Casterot. Bernadette was from a poverty-stricken family, frail in health and the eldest of nine children. Between February 11 and July 16, 1858, at the age of 14, she had a series of visions of Mother Mary, who revealed her identity with the words “I am the Immaculate Conception.” Bernadette steadfastly defended the genuineness of these visions despite strong opposition from her parents, the local clergy, and civil authorities, and she faithfully transmitted Mary’s messages. To escape public attention she became a boarder in the local school run by the Sisters of Charity of Nevers. In 1866 she was granted admission into the novitiate in the mother house at Nevers. There she completed her religious instruction and passed her remaining years in prayer and seclusion, happy and loved for her kindliness, holiness, and wit, despite almost constant sickness and pain.

Medjugorje (“between the hills”) has become well known in Bosnia-Hercegovina (formerly Yugoslavia), and the world, because of six young people who claim to have seen visions of the Madonna. Beginning on June 24, 1981, the Blessed Mother appeared to, and later told the visionaries God sent her to our world to help us convert our hearts and lives back to Him. They are Messages of Peace and Love, and are meant to guide each one of us to a closer relationship with God. Our Lady has appeared in Medjugorje every day since June 24, 1981 to present. When the Blessed Virgin Mary reportedly first appeared to 16-year-old Mirjana Dragicevic on June 24, 1981, she was walking casually with her girlfriend Ivanka Ivankovic, 17, near a hilltop known as Podprado at a village called Medjugorje in Yugoslavia. Since that time, both girls and four of their young friends have been seeing this vision of the Virgin Mary regularly, often on a daily basis. The total number of reported apparitions is now close to 2,000.

CONCLUSION
The places where people have seen or sensed Mother Mary obviously are “thin” or scared places. But when people pray together they become even more special.

For me the love Mother Mary brings dissolves all fear, anger, judgements and misunderstanding and even evil in any form. Prayer to and meditations to Mother Mary are an uplifting way to begin and end your day.

I hope the compassion that Mother Mary brings will enter your life ~Hilary~.

INTRODUCTION

Well-being is the energy frequency of Archangel Sandalphon.

Archangel Sandalphon is concerned with the whole of our existence on earth and with the metamorphosis of negativity to positivity in our conscious minds across all our levels of well-being (mental, physical and spiritual.)  When you are feeling that you are not grounded call the archangel Sandalphon.

Let’s suffice to say that to be grounded means that your physical body is in good health and your finances are in good health. Are they? Don’t forget that your physical body includes your mental health. Is that stable and balanced?  This is important. Without physical and financial health you will not survive. Thus we are looking at the root chakra.

Archangel Sandalphon is an anchor for God’s Light on earth. He keeps things working at root level on earth for God’s divine plan, even as far as caring for the earth and for nature. He closely works with the devas, the elementals to keep our environment safe. He asks us to be vigilant and caring in our relationship with the earth.

THE ROOT CHAKRA

ChakraChart2 (Small)

The root chakra in a healthy state indicates a ruthless desire to tap into our ancestors ability to not only survive and prosper through cunning, courage, stealth and a ruthless desire to live and keep on living.

The root chakra is related to patience (time), structure, stability, trust, security and manifestation. All these archetypes are related to Saturn.

Working through negativity:

  1. Cultivate patience so when things don’t go to plan you do not lose energy via anger and frustration.
  2. Allow time for things to happen in a positive way.
  3. Do what is necessary to stay stable during change.
  4. Develop meditation to slow down your mind.
  5. Trust in life to see you through hard times.
  6. Make a plan to see your dreams unfold.
  7. Enjoy life and cultivate a sense of humour.

You can tell if your root chakra is not intact by negative answers here:

  • Are you a patient person?
  • Are you addicted to fast fixes?
  • Are you aware your impatience saps your life energy?
  • Where do your courage, grit and stamina come from?
  • Can you identify family members who have or had the ability to withstand hardship and change?
  • Can you reflect on a time in your life you felt supported?
  • What is missing in your support system?
  • Can you internalise your support and make it part of the structure of your life? (Eg. through friends, neighbours, prayers, a daily routine, meditation, daily exercise, work?)
  • Do you find fulfilment in a life you have created for yourself?
  • How stable is your life?
  • How do you visualise stability?
  • Being stable means consistency in your choices for good? Is this the case with you?
  • Do you feel secure?
  • Do you have the basics covered: food, shelter, water, someone to help in time of crisis?
  • Do you have a sense of direction?
  • Do you trust you are protected and guided in your life?
  • Are you fearful of what exists outside your boundaries?
  • Do you allow yourself to dream of the life you really want?
  • Are you grateful for the things you have now?
  • Can you remain directed in doing what you need to do to fulfil your intentions?
  • Can you manifest your dreams?

For me the Earth and root chakra and Sandalphon card is Strength. I recently saw a Strength card which depicts a woman balancing a planetary sphere in one arm from Colette Baron-Reid’s oracle deck, The Enchanted Map. Spirit lends you strength beyond your human power. Spirit or our Higher Self has a conscious contact to your Higher Power and this contract of strength and willpower is most important as you go about your day. Your intuition will always lead you to make the right choices and Spirit will ensure you have the strength to keep moving toward your dream! Just remember to share the load. Spirit is your manifesting partner in abundance. Gratitude and commitment are the growth accelerators.

It’s quite extraordinary when we realize how much inner strength we really do possess. It takes determination and focus to discover this balancing act and music can open our ears to this truth.

MUSIC AND GROUNDING.

There are thousands of songs online that fit into the description of being grounding or earthly however those songs that resonate with your own sense of the element matters most. Think about the instruments or words that feel like Earth to you. What genres of music represent the physical body? Are you able to equate what you hear with the words: foundation, root or strength? For me Australian Indigenous didgeridoo music and Native American music that has drumming and raw male voices  help ground me with the Earth. Indigenous cultures are very earthy because of their natural appreciation for the planet. Just listen and let your body reverberate an inner beat. Do you notice that shopping centers mostly play military band music which makes you hurry up and buy? Your finances are of the earth element. Abundance is the earth and should be natural to us all.

GROUNDING SKILLS.

Grounding skills are necessary for good mental and physical health. When you are ungrounded you are probably not taking care of your body or your finances, in fact your emotions have taken over. And adrenal exhaustion may mean that you become very ill. Grounding techniques often use the five senses (sound, touch, smell, taste, and sight) to immediately connect people with the here and now. For example, listening to loud music, holding onto a piece of ice, or biting into a lemon are all grounding techniques that produce sensations that are difficult to ignore, thereby directly and instantaneously connecting you with the present moment. If you are not grounded you may live in the past or future, which means that mentally you are not here now, hence your astral body is off floating up around the top of your head and not enveloping your body and anchoring it to the earth.

PRACTICAL GROUNDING EXERCISES

Below is a list of grounding techniques that help if you feel anxious, endangered or threatened.  If you find grounding techniques that work for you, write them out and keep them handy when you need them. We are all different, so some but all will feel right for you.

•             Go for a walk and breathe deeply as you go. Look at the beauty around you. A park or a bush track is a good place to walk.

•             Dig in your garden and water your plants.

•             Stomp your feet to remind yourself where you are. Press your feet firmly into the ground.

  • Stand with your feet pressed firmly on the ground and your knees slightly bent.

•             Try to notice where you are, your surroundings, including the people or the sounds around you, like the TV or radio.

•             Concentrate on your breathing. Take a deep, cleansing breath from your diaphragm. Count the breaths as you exhale. Make sure you breathe slowly so you don’t hyperventilate.

•             Cross your legs and arms. Feel the sensations of you controlling your body.

•             Call a friend and ask them to talk to you about something you have recently done together.

•             Take a warm, relaxing bubble bath or a warm shower. Feel the water touching your body.

•             Keep a rubber band on your wrist and pluck it. Feel the slight sting as it touches your skin.

•             Find your pulse on your wrist and count the beats per minute. Concentrate on feeling the blood pulse throughout your body.

•             Go outside and sit against a tree. Feel the bark pressing against your body. Smell the outside aromas like the grass and the leaves. Run your fingers through the grass.

•             If you are sitting, stand. If you are standing, sit. Pay attention to the movement change. Reminding yourself, you are in control.

•             Rub your palms, clap your hands. Listen to the sounds. Feel the sensation.

•             Speak out loud.

•             Hold something that you find comforting. For some it may be a stuffed animal or blanket. Notice how it feels in your hands.

•             Eat something. Preferably protein. It will stop you feeling lightheaded.

•             If you have a pet, pat them and feel their fur beneath your hand. Say the pet’s name out loud. Dogs like to lie in good energy. Sit with your dog.

•             Go to a mirror and make yourself smile. Watch your reflection as your expression changes. How does it make you feel?

•             Visualise a bright red STOP sign, to help you stop the flashback and/or memory.

•             Step outside. If it is warm, feel the sun shining down on your face. If it is cold, feel the breeze. How does it make your body feel?

•             During a non-crisis time, make a list of things that are in your house and what room they are in. Give this list to friends that you can call so they can remind you what is around you.

•             During a non-crisis time make a list of positive affirmations. Print them out and keep them handy for when you are having a flashback. Read the list out loud.

•             Take a walk outside and notice what is there. Pay attention to houses and count them.

•             Listen to familiar music and sing along to it. Dance to it. Feel the beat. Sing along.

•             Make a list of known triggers and give it to your counsellor. Ask them if they can help you find a way to desensitise those triggers so they aren’t quite so powerful.

•             Write in your journal.

•             Imagine yourself in a safe place. Feel the safety and know it.

•             Watch a favourite TV program or video. Play a video game.

•             Meditate, if you are comfortable doing it.

•             Exercise. Ride a bike, lift weights or go for a walk.

The first phase of therapy must be safety and the aim of grounding is to make a person feel safe.

Everyone is different. Different grounding techniques will work for different people.

Grounding as mindfulness means focusing on the present by tuning into it via all your senses: sight, taste, touch, smell. Focus on a sound you hear right now or what is the texture of the chair you are sitting on or look at your little finger. Describe each in as much detail as possible.

Grounding is created by deep breathing.  Trauma survivors hyperventilate which means they often hold their breath or breathe very shallowly. This in turn deprives you of oxygen which can make anxiety more intense. Stopping and focusing on deepening and slowing your breathing can bring you back to the moment.

Grounding therapies also involve relaxation, guided imagery or hypnotherapy techniques. People with dissociative disorders are engaging in a form of self-hypnosis much of the time: it is mostly negative self-talk. The trouble is, it is out of your control! Some trauma therapists are also trained in hypnosis and can help teach you how to use dissociation in a way that works for you. You might create a safe place or learn ways to turn down the “volume” of painful feelings and memories.

Grounding and emotion management skills can help you proceed with the work of trauma therapy in a manner that feels empowering instead of re-traumatizing.

IN ASTROLOGY

Sandalphon and the root chakra both belong to the quality of Earth and Saturn. Certainly as the remorseless, dark planet Pluto is going through the earth sign of Capricorn it is indeed a time when we must be vigilant about caring for our environment. Note that here Earth and grounding relates to Saturn and Capricorn not Virgo which is very analytical. Virgo can obsess about work and their health which means they can become A-holics. Saturn actually relates to the earth. So Sandalphon as well as Azrael can relate to people who work with gems, and balancing electromagnetic polarities in the body. Although we think of deep red as the colour of Mars the most powerful places on earth have black or deep red soil and the earth or root chakra is deep red. So a powerful root chakra and Sandalphon and Azrael on your side will protect you from geopathic stress, negative leylines, and toxic underground water and help restore balance. The root chakra in full swing will also make your adrenal glands work, so you can be immune to post traumatic stress, anxiety or dissociative stress. The other divine figure who shines red as well is Jesus Christ.

The Christ is a reconciling force between polarities. Christ balances divine light entering the physical world. The Christ will allow you to release anger and resentment, which can also point to a blocked root chakra and to a blocked use of Saturn, as Saturn and Capricorn rule the spleen and the spleen is ruined by bitterness and resentment.

SANDALPHON’S SPIRITUAL BACKGROUND

Some of the earliest sources on Sandalphon refer to him as the prophet Elijah transfigured and elevated to angelic status. Other sources describe him as the “twin brother” of Metatron, whose human origin as Enoch was similar to the human origin of Sandalphon. Physical descriptions of Sandalphon vary. He is uniformly depicted as extremely tall. He is the height of a 500-year foot journey. During Moses’ visit to the Third Heaven, he is said to have glimpsed Sandalphon and called him the “tall angel.”  The Babylonian Talmud Hagigah 13b says Sandalphon’s head reaches Heaven, which is also said of the Greek monster Typhon, with whom Sandalphon seems to have similar mythological roots. He is also described as being a member of the angelic princes, and a master of heavenly song.  As Archangel Michael does, he carries on a ceaseless battle with evil.

The ancient sages also referred to him by the name Ophan (Hebrew for “wheel”), a reference to the “wheel within the wheel” from Ezekiel’s vision of the merkabah (heavenly chariot) in Ezekiel in the Bible.  Sandalphon is also said to be instrumental in bringing about the differentiation of sex in the embryo.  He is said to appear before the feminine presence of the Shekhinah and receives the prayers of humans and sends them to God.  Sandalphon is the guardian of our secret thoughts and wishes.

CONCLUSION

Archangel Sandalphon’s calming and soothing presence allows you to truly feel how protected you are and know that it’s safe to move into life. At the same time there is an increase in your vitality, an ever-widening structure that fuels and nourishes you in your earth world.

Indeed Shanta Gabriel states that, “During this shift of the Ages, Archangel Sandalphon has become available to help anchor the extreme intensity of the new frequencies on the planet. Archangel Sandalphon has been called the Guardian of the Earth and holds the planet in the palm of his hand, and is also known to be concerned with the welfare of humanity.”

Sandalphon brings about joy in living, strength and abundance.
